-What is the current state of gasoline reserves? Will there be enough reserves for spring planting?
-Mongolia has no problem with diesel. We have a lot of wagons that have not been unloaded. There are about 600 wagons in total. The positive news is that the price of diesel is decreasing. 85 percent of the total consumption is used in mining. This in itself is a very good sign. The ministry is paying attention and is taking precautions not to increase the price further. Citizens probably think that the situation may worsen due to the drone attacks in Russia. I had a meeting with Rosneft executives yesterday. The government is certainly concerned about this.
The main concern is the reserve tank. Even though we have reserves, the red light will come on 10-20 days after a problem occurs.
Mongolia needs to have a 40-50-day fuel reserve. I am not a minister who decides everything. I cannot solve all the problems related to mining alone. The issue of the reserve tank is not my responsibility. I talk about it at every government meeting.
-Is there a reserve tank in the name of the government department?
-All the storage tanks belong to private enterprises. The General Directorate of Emergency Situations has a certain amount of storage tanks. Diesel fuel is enough.
