Gasoline is used as a fuel for carbureted engines and is a light fraction of petroleum that boils within the range of 40-200°C. Gasoline is classified by its octane rating.
There are three international methods to determine octane: Research Octane Number (RON), Motor Octane Number (MON), and Anti-Knock Index (AKI). In our country, gasoline is categorized according to the widely used RON method into grades such as A-80, A-92, A-95, and A-98.
